Mark has been traveling the world for over 20 years, working across more than 10 different industries. This led him to develop a unique approach to life: “I have come to understand there is only one constant in life, Change”.

Through travel, continuous learning & personal development, Mark has compiled his experiences with culture and mindset into tangible best practices for individuals & organizations willing to transform their status quo.

As an early mover in the blockchain space, Mark has been involved in digital assets, trading, and D.A.O. business structures since the emergence of decentralized principles. This experience has inspired him to build an educational platform, helping organizations and individuals understand the implications of this new reality.

Since joining forces with the Barrett Values Centre, Mark has become a certified consultant and has designed a framework for innovating Next Generation Business Culture through training on Values, Beliefs & Mindset.

Since joining SmartMinds in November 2016, Yasmeen has experienced a lifetime of both professional & personal growth. As the Communications Leader she spends her days supporting collaboration efforts both internally and externally, helping to represent and build the SmartMinds Vision, Mission & Core Values. Yasmeen’s love for art, dance & culture have helped her develop creative adaptability, leading her to play a role in all functions of the team from creative and content construction to site development, accounting and finance. It’s this passion, adaptability, and intuition that continue to challenge and inspire her team members every step of the way.

Defina is a self-taught artist and graphic designer who brings passion and personality through every bit of work she touches. With experience across a broad range of industries, her adaptive nature is the perfect fit for the diverse work that the SmartMinds team tackles. Bringing new perspectives to life through her work, Defina is committed to generating positive social change through the art she creates and is a testament to the notion that great strength of will and character can come even in the smallest of packages.

An energetic, curious and adaptable leader, Shaan brings a history of building things, selling things, and bringing things together to the SmartMinds team. A former VP at VaynerMedia, he has built teams primed for growth and environments designed for change across New York, Los Angeles and London. A former sailor, winemaker, writer and mixed martial artist, he consistently aims to explore and experience the world around us. At SmartMinds Shaan strives to nurture and support the team by bringing focus, awareness, and follow through to each and every day.

An ecstatic man built on perseverance that lives to give! Kieran supports the team as a videographer, editor and investment specialist. Bringing an eclectic mix of experience to the table, Kieran has done everything from studying under a holistic doctor, to working for multiple NGOs and the U.S. government, to traveling around the world working and living in sustainable communities. On his journey he realized a need for a more effective approach to creating a healthier planet. He believes blockchain is the answer to many of the world’s current needs and is taking the steps to forward the SmartMinds team’s reach by documenting the journey.

Doing the best possible in any situation, setting the team up for success in even the most unconventional environments and relishing the beauty in our differences are just some of the things that make up Martin. As a project manager, his focus is on keeping the team on track in every sense of the phrase. Whether it’s a challenge or opportunity that’s presented, Martin’s meets them all with a clear and calm: “We will do this”. Years as a club manager in Germany have given him the background to tackle a broad range of obstacles, a skill he exercises regularly while supporting the team. Overseeing the SmartMinds online infrastructure, site development, and coordination with external resources are just some of the ways Martin contributes to SmartMinds.
